Spring is here in Jacksonville! Spring is a short time in Florida where temperatures are a little milder, humidity is a little lower, and mosquitoes aren't out in force just yet. You may be wondering what to do outside your new apartment in Jacksonville during the spring season, so we compiled a list of some fun things and events to do around our area. We hope our list gives you plenty of choices for fun spring activities. Let's get started before the heat of summer arrives!

U-PICK FARMS
If you are looking to get outside of the city for a fun day in the outdoors visit one of our local farms to pick your own fruit. Blu By U Farm plans to open near the end of April and is located near the westside of Jacksonville. For those that live in the Orange Park or St Johns County Towers Farms is just west of the St Johns River in Palatka and offers u-pick blueberries, strawberries, and other produce throughout the year. Or if your Jacksonville apartment is near the northside area Nan's Blueberry Farm opens closer to May.

FESTIVALS & EVENTS
Spring in Jacksonville usually means fun festivals and events. The Visit Jacksonville website is a great resource to save and check often for the latest events around your Jacksonville apartment. Whether you enjoy the arts, music, shows or sporting events, you will find no shortage of things to do. The Jax River Jams, Mandarin Art Festival, Jacksonville Taco & Margarita Festival are just a few popular options you may enjoy.

EASTER EVENTS
Easter is early this year, falling on Sunday, April 9th. BEACH
The beaches near Jacksonville are always a popular destination for residents and tourists alike. There is something special though about visiting the beaches before the crowds of the summer arrive and the heat becomes unbearable even with the refreshing water of the Atlantic Ocean.
